Do What You Love? Think Again

You must have heard this a hundred times from a hundred different people—pursue a career in what you love or avoid doing what you hate. But if you dig deeper, you’ll realize it’s all an illusion.

🧠 Why Passion Alone Isn’t Enough
The truth is, no matter how much you love something, if you start doing it for 12 hours a day, every day, you will eventually start losing interest in it. You might even begin to hate it. Because your brain likes change. It wants to see different things for a continuous dopamine hit. That’s the reason why the whole world is constantly scrolling. I personally love music—whether it’s singing, dancing, playing instruments, or simply listening.

do what you should do, not what you want to do.

⚠️ When Passion Becomes Pressure
In the early days at Tech Cryptors, I used to jam with my friends on Sundays for an hour or so between work( I Still do ). We would wait the entire week just for that moment. It was pure joy. But then, one day, I had no work scheduled, so we started jamming early. I was excited—finally, a whole day to do what I loved! But after 3-4 hours of continuous singing, corrections, and re-recordings, I wasn’t enjoying it as much. The very thing I used to crave now felt like a task. And after two more hours, I didn’t even want to open my mouth to sing. Why? Because my passion, my escape, had turned into work. More than enjoyment, it had become something I needed to perfect in every aspect. That day, I realized that no matter how much you love something, doing it every day, for the majority of your time, can make you resent it. Sachin Tendulkar is not great just because he played well or for what he scored—he is great because he followed the same hard routine every single day, regardless of success or failure, support or without support. He kept going even on the days he didn’t feel like it.

Tech Cryptors started with one simple thought of making technology easily accessible to everyone including the ones who are willing to learn new skills for their career growth, to the ones who want to develop tools and services for their entities or businesses to improve their performance.

The Value of Tech Cryptors’ IT Services

There was no shortage of companies in the IT Services. You will find small companies & individuals to Big MNCs like Infosys, Accenture, TCS & many others working in the same. But there are things which makes End user who wants to build these IT solutions, wants to develop these services for their own.

Success is not about doing what you love. It’s about doing what’s right—even when you don’t feel like doing it. It’s easy to wake up late every day and go to work. But discipline is waking up early, whether you like it or not. It’s saying no to that extra slice of cake even when it’s tempting. It’s about walking away from things that feel good but aren’t right for you. Success comes when you do what’s necessary, not just what’s enjoyable.

🔁 Consistency vs Occasional Effort
You don’t get fit by eating junk food every day and going to the gym once a month. If doing the wrong things daily and the right things occasionally doesn’t help, then the opposite is also true—doing the right things daily and slipping up once in a while won’t ruin your progress. The key is maintaining the right balance. Once you start doing the right things, even when you don’t want to, your brain adapts. It starts choosing discipline over instant gratification.

🧬The Science Behind Discipline
This isn’t just philosophy—it’s science. Neuroscience explains this through a part of the brain called the anterior midcingulate cortex (AMCC). This region helps you do things you don’t feel like doing. Studies show that successful athletes and business leaders have a larger AMCC.

Success isn’t about doing what you love—it’s about doing what’s necessary, even when you don’t feel like it. Discipline shapes greatness, not just passion.

Every time you choose discipline—getting up early, eating right, resisting distractions, in simple words when you do something even when you don’t want to do it, you strengthen this part of your brain. If you let your brain decide, it would tell you to sleep all day, binge-watch Netflix, and take the easy route every day forever. But true growth comes when you do what you should do, not just what you want to do. It’s all about the right quantities of the right things. Choose right for you, and keep doing it until you make it.

🌟 Conclusion
It’s all about the right quantities of the right things. Choose right for you, and keep doing it until you make it.
